Figures include all property types sold in each town during the period. Data supplied by the Pillar 9™ MLS® System, deemed reliable but not guaranteed.

What this means

  • Bigger towns are moving faster. Homes in Airdrie and Cochrane sold in about seven weeks on average.
  • Smaller towns take longer. In Olds and Sundre, the average was over three months on market. Pricing it right from day one matters even more there.
  • Small numbers swing a lot. When only 9 to 18 homes sell in a month, one acreage or one condo can move the average price a long way. Your own home's value depends on its size, land, condition and location, not the town average.
  • Acreages and land are different. Rural properties in Mountain View County and Rocky View County sell on their own timeline. Wells, septic, outbuildings and access all affect value.
